Engaging a copywriter should be straightforward.

Here’s a clear outline of what to expect from initial enquiry through to delivery and final approval.

1: Initial copywriting enquiry

Submit an enquiry via the form below or email elizabeth@elizabethwilsoncopywriting.com outlining your requirements. This may include website content, individual pages, partner bios, brochures, blogs or award submissions. A website link is helpful at this stage if you have one. If you are working with a web developer, designer or agency, I can liaise directly with them to ensure alignment on structure and timelines.

2: Scope & Clarification

I will respond in writing to confirm key details and clarify scope. If needed, we can schedule a short Zoom, Teams or phone call to align on objectives before work begins. If you have a fixed deadline, please indicate this in your initial enquiry.

3: Copywriting Quote & Agreement

A fixed-fee quote is provided outlining scope, deliverables, timelines and inclusions. For larger projects, a proposal may outline page-by-page approach and structure. Work commences once the Copywriting Agreement is signed.

4: Context & Information Gathering

I’ll gather the context I need about your business, audience, industry and tone - either over email or a call, depending on what suits your availability. This stage ensures clarity before drafting begins.

5: Drafting

Once I have what I need, I’ll begin drafting your content. Clarifications are addressed promptly if required during drafting. You’ll receive your first draft within the agreed timeframe.

6: Copy Refinements

You have the opportunity to review the draft and provide feedback within the agreed scope. Revisions are completed to ensure the copy is accurate, aligned and ready for publication.

7: Final Delivery

Final copy is supplied in the agreed format, ready for web upload, design or publication.

8: Copywriting Invoice

The final invoice is issued upon completion of the project.

Payment terms are 14 days.
